Summer Fun

Here are some pics from the past couple of months.  We've been very busy this summer.  We've visited with all the grandparents, which has been super fun.  Celia has loved spending time with her cousins, Rachel and Mason, who have just as much or more energy than she does. We've gone swimming, to gymboree and played in the rain.  Celia even found entertainment in a box I got in the mail.  We're getting ready for her first birthday party - I can't believe she's already going to be one!

Stockyards

Over Memorial Day (I'm behind in posting as usual), we took Celia and headed to Cowtown. We walked around the Stockyards, ate at Love Shack (hamburgers) and Cattlemans Steakhouse. We stayed in a hotel in the stockyards, which was really convenient. Unfortunately that night was a rough one for Celia as she had an ear infection (we went to the doctor the next day). Besides that we had a good time.

First Steps

I'm finally posting.  This video was on 6/15 and was some of Celia's first steps.  She's now a pro and walks everywhere, doesn't really crawl anymore.  Daycare even said she's trying to run!  But I think she just ends up falling before she gets very far.

Nestea Plunge

Celia loves this game. She stands on one end of the bed and falls backward, usually twisting in the air to land on her tummy. She just laughs and laughs. Celia is 11 months now. I have a lot of pictures I need to upload. She's seen all the grandparents recently, gone swimming many times and is getting her 6th tooth.

Last Wednesday I came home and she was walking! Ok, not full-fledged walking, but she was taking steps. For the past week or so, she's been taking one or two steps and falling into my arms. It's really more of her momentum carrying her, but we had fun with it and I would kiss her everytime she fell into my arms. But when Aunt Whitney picked her up from daycare, they said she had taken 6 steps. So Aunt Whitney and I set her up between us and had her walking and she took 12 steps! Dad got a few steps on tape, which I will post soon, but not the full 12. Those 12 must have tired her out because she hasn't had much interest in doing it again.
