Sleeping Baby

Celia has been a pretty good night sleeper since she was born (she is terrible at taking naps). The first two weeks the doctor made me wake her up every four hours to feed her, even though she wanted to sleep longer. At 12 weeks she usually sleeps 5-7 hours at a stretch before waking up to eat and then goes back to sleep for another 3 hours or so. Last night she slept 6 hours, but on Monday night she slept 9 hours! I don't expect this to happen again anytime soon, but it was great to know she can do it. In honor of her 9 hours, I'm posting some cute sleeping pictures.

Talking

Celia is becoming very vocal. She loves talking and laughing. Sometimes she'll just sit and make noises for a long time.

We're finally adjusting to daycare. It's much easier for me to drop her off each morning (I think today was the first day I didn't cry). And Celia seems to be doing better. They are giving her medication on schedule and her teacher said yesterday she was so happy smiling and talking all day. She still doesn't nap very well, but it will take a while to get used to all the other noisy babies.

As you can see dad changed her diaper last because he never resnaps her onesies.

Dressing Up for Halloween x 3

Celia had a great halloween.  She had a cute t-shirt for the day and a choice of two costumes for trick-or-treating.

I put her in this watermelon blanket and hat.  The baby on the package looked much happier than Celia did.  I think the hat was a little tight.

By the time trick-or-treating rolled around, Celia was tired and in need of a nap.  We hit a few of the neighbor's houses, mainly for candy for mommy and daddy, but we also had to show off our little pumpkin!

Our neighbor's daughter had a baby girl about a week before Celia was born.  Her name is Aubry and she's the cute ladybug.

Cold Weather

Celia was born in the summer so she has spent most of her life to this point in onesies or t-shirts and no bottoms.  The weather has gotten cooler over the past few weeks, which requires long sleeves and pants.  Celia does not like wearing clothes.  Actually she is fine once we get them on, but she does not like it when you put long sleeves on her and she especially hates jackets. Here are a few pics of her in her long sleeves and long pants. I should also point out that Celia doesn't have many winter clothes that fit her so I started putting long sleeved onesies under her summer dresses and shirts.

Celia's First Photo Shoot

At six weeks Celia had her first professional pictures taken. The photographer came to our house and took her pictures. Celia was pretty fussy most of the time, but the photographer did a good job calming her down. Here are a few samples - there were so many good ones! The photographer was: http://www.melissadarstphoto.com/

This one is John's favorite!

Two Months

Celia is two months old. Some days I can't believe she's already been here two months and other days it feels like two years! We had our two month doctor appointment earlier this week. Celia is growing so fast. She weighs 10 lbs 6 oz and is 23 3/4 inches long. For weight she's in the 50th percentile and for length she's in the 90th percentile (which means she's longer than 90% of other babies her age). She also got her first shots, which was just so sad - John and I both cried! We also got our 3rd reflux prescription.  We're crossing our fingers that this one works - we hate to see her in pain.

First Restaurant

Celia went to her first restaurant the other day! We went to Rosa's to get some fajitas. We went pretty late in the evening and sat on the patio (this was on purpose). Luckily we were the only ones there since Celia cried part of the time. I think she was tired because eventually she fell asleep.
